MINERAL DEPOSIT (2022) Sand, carbon, soil, cement and assorted metals, 80 x 58 x 3cm
The artworks were the outcome of a project combining drawing with sculptural, wall-hung design. They were inspired by research into mining meteoroids and asteroids. The outer edge, when hung, was designed to represent a floating rocky mass. The shapes within them are inspired by the gadgets used to monitor meteors.
