‘Mineral’ explores the topic of space archaeology or space waste. The artwork was inspired by forms of debris left in space and the hypocrisy of their definitions; one being derelict material and the other being of cultural significance. Sand and resin were used to contrast a very natural material with a very artificial one, symbolising that the object in front of us is both of this world as well as a fabrication of another one.
