WE COLLIDED (2021) Perspex, sand and resin, 127 x 127 x 35 cm
‘We Collided’ was an interactive installation set up for the Bankside Artist Space in Blackfriars. The concept was inspired by demonstrations from NASA using household items to explain how we can analyse the splatter patterns of fallen debris to determine the angle and speed a meteorite impacts the surface of a planet. I incorporated this technique into the gallery space, inviting guests to choose from a selection of eight resin and sand meteorites to drop onto the surface. Across the residency people contributed to the construction of the planetary surface.
