CLONE
(2018) Resin and Spray Paint, 44 x 29 x 17cm
‘Clone’ is a replica of a wax work designed to melt and disassemble in a window display in Whitechapel. Each ‘page’ was created individually from wax in a silicone mould. These pages were then cast in groups of five, into three varying sizes to make books. Each book was attached to an internal solid resin bar to create the shape. The piece was produced as a memory of the lost exhibited object.

IMPRESSION
(2016) Plaster, Polystyrene, Salt, Wax Residue, 130 x 180 x 100 cm
‘Impression’ is part of a series, exploring moments of transition. To create this artwork, I placed a carved wax object into plaster and forcibly removed it using a hot air gun. The intention of this was to capture a permanent trace of a perishable artwork.
